Coronavirus Update

New dates announced for Plastic Free World Conference 2020 in Cologne

Message date March 25, 2020

Following the latest international developments of the growing COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Plastic Free World Conference & Expo will be rescheduled and will now take place on 9/10 November 2020 in Cologne, Germany.

While this is not a decision that has been taken lightly, we feel that it is the right one for the well-being of all those attending the event.

Over 130 speakers had already been confirmed to take part in this year’s event and our conference team have already confirmed that all our existing speakers will be with us in November. As well as the speakers already confirmed on our website we are getting ready to announce some very exciting keynote speakers and we will be taking the additional time to ensure that we bring you the most up-to-date research, material innovations, and new circular economy business models to tackle plastic waste.

The exhibition area will also remain unchanged and we have now sold out of space for 2020 but we will shortly be announcing our plans for an even larger event in June 2021. At the time of writing, we had over 400 people already confirmed to attend, anyone who has already registered to attend will not need to do anything at this stage and your booking will automatically transfer to November and we will be sending you confirmation of this. If there are any problems with your registration please contact

Through moving the event to November, we can work together with our partners in Cologne to ensure a safe and healthy environment in which to tackle the global plastic pollution crisis.

Trans-Global Events’ policy can be summed up as ‘sensible measures = comfort for all’, which ensures that visitors can attend with confidence. I hope this information is helpful. If you have any special concerns or questions, there will be a response from me or from a person with direct and relevant experience.

We look forward to welcoming you all to Plastic Free World Conference & Expo and wish you a successful event.

In the meantime, we wish you all good health and safety during this difficult time.

Mike Robinson, CEO, Trans-Global Events
